Our winners at the third group match in New York.
Of course, sightseeing is a must in New York.
Bastian Schweinsteiger was, of course, there too.

Unforgettable days at the
German World Cup match in New York

A World Cup match involving Germany in New York – this combination alone highlights just how special this moment in football was. The group stage match between Germany and Ecuador at the World Cup provided precisely this unique setting.

Even the days spent in New York itself were part of the experience for our winner. The city was characterised by its typical energy: loud, fast-paced, international and, at the same time, clearly gripped by football fever.

Whether it was the hundreds of Norwegian fans sitting on the ground in Times Square performing their famous rowing choreography, or the German fans who also took over the heart of the Big Apple in fine style ahead of their third group match.

As well as the match itself, there was also time to explore the city. The days spent in New York were presumably – as part of the trip – also used for sightseeing: famous landmarks, the city’s unique atmosphere and the sheer scale of this metropolis made the stay more than just a football trip.

As the German team took to the pitch, the atmosphere became boisterous and emotional. It was a moment that showed just how much excitement a World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada can generate.

The match turned into an intense contest, with Germany facing a determined Ecuadorian side.

Even though the German team came off second best, it wasn’t just the result that mattered. It was the combination of the trip, the city, the stadium experience and the special World Cup atmosphere that made this moment unforgettable.

In the end, one thing stands out above all else: a unique football experience in New York that went far beyond the 90 minutes and was certainly a moment our winner will never forget.
