An unforgettable weekend at
the DFB Cup Final in Berlin

A final is always something special, and the DFB Cup Final between VfB Stuttgart and FC Bayern Munich proved that once again.

Just how special it was was evident from the atmosphere in the capital throughout the day. By noon, the electric atmosphere was palpable throughout the city: jerseys were visible everywhere in Berlin. A striking number featured the VfB Stuttgart crest. Bayern fans were naturally present as well, but the anticipation among the Stuttgart fans was clearly visible.

Right in the thick of it: our winner of the DFB Cup promotion in cooperation with the VfB Foundation, who used this day to enjoy a true soccer experience in the capital. Together with other VfB fans, he got in the mood for the final with a cold wheat beer at a rooftop bar high above the rooftops of Berlin.

In perfect summer weather, the Olympic Stadium filled up early. Before kickoff, the VfB fan section kept the atmosphere lively with their chants. A special highlight was the entrance to the club anthem “Stuttgart kommt,” during which VfB legends like Guido Buchwald and Hansi Müller were also welcomed onto the field.

When the national anthem rang out, the entire stadium sang along: a spine-tingling moment that will remain in many people’s memories. An impressive atmosphere prevailed throughout the game as well. The setting sun, in particular, which bathed the Olympic Stadium in warm light, created an almost majestic backdrop.

Despite VfB Stuttgart's loss, the atmosphere after the final whistle remained electric. The fans celebrated their team enthusiastically and expressed great pride in their entire cup run.
